Free exercise animations for fitness apps

Free exercise animation sample: two clips, metadata, and license

MoveKit offers a free sample of its 3D exercise animation library so fitness app builders, coaching platforms, and creators can test the files before buying. The sample is a direct ZIP download with no signup, no email, and no watermark. It contains two full-resolution exercise animations, their poster frames, structured metadata in JSON and CSV, and the license notice that ships with every MoveKit download.

What is inside the ZIP

The file is named movekit-free-sample.zip. Videos sit at the ZIP root, posters under a posters folder, and the metadata files reference both by path.

  • dumbbell-chest-fly.mp4Dumbbell Chest Fly animation, full-resolution H.264 MP4, no watermark.

  • metadata.jsonStructured metadata for both exercises, same 18-field schema as paid packs.
  • metadata.csvThe same metadata as a spreadsheet-friendly CSV.
  • LICENSE.txtThe MoveKit License Agreement notice that travels with every download.

Video format

  • H.264 MP4, full resolution, no watermark.
  • Loopable clips with a neutral start and end position. No claim of a continuous loop with no visible cut.
  • One faceless grey anatomical muscle figure with no clothing, the same model across all 412 exercises in the library.
  • Print-grade poster frame per exercise (2752 x 1536 JPEG), the same original the paid pack poster artifacts ship.

Metadata schema

metadata.json is an array with one record per exercise. metadata.csv holds the same records with array fields joined by semicolons. The primary key is slug; videoFile and posterFile are the in-ZIP paths of that exercise's assets.

18 fields

slug, aliases, name, primaryMuscles, secondaryMuscles, equipment, movementPattern, difficulty, durationSeconds, tags, benefits, useCases, instructions, commonMistakes, shortDescription, longDescription, posterFile, videoFile

License for the free sample

  • Self-host the files and serve them to your own users, including through your CDN or signed URLs.
  • Resize, crop, recolor, composite, or add overlays inside your product.
  • Use the metadata and written exercise text inside your product.

Not allowed

  • Resell, repackage, or redistribute the raw MP4, poster, or metadata files as a standalone asset pack.
  • Build a competing stock library or public download catalogue from the raw assets.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign up or enter an email to download the free sample?

No. The download is a direct ZIP link with no account, email, or payment step. Open the link and the file downloads.

What is inside the free sample ZIP?

Two full-resolution H.264 MP4 exercise animations (pull ups and dumbbell chest fly), a print-grade poster frame for each (2752 x 1536), metadata.json and metadata.csv describing both exercises, and a LICENSE.txt notice. Nothing is watermarked.

Can I use the free sample clips in a commercial fitness app?

Yes. The sample ships under the same MoveKit License Agreement as paid downloads, which covers use inside your own apps, websites, courses, videos, ads, and client projects. You may not resell, repackage, or redistribute the raw files, and you may not use them as AI training data.

Is the free sample the full library?

No. The sample is 2 of the 412 exercises in the MoveKit library. It exists so you can check quality, file format, and metadata shape before buying a pack.

Does the metadata match what paid packs include?

Yes. The sample metadata uses the same 18-field JSON and CSV schema and the same join keys (slug, videoFile, posterFile) as the metadata artifact that ships with every pack, so an integration built against the sample works unchanged on a full pack.

Do the animations loop?

They are loopable. Each clip starts and ends in a neutral position so it can repeat in a workout UI. MoveKit does not claim a continuous loop with no visible cut, so test the repeat in your own player.

Does every MoveKit animation use the same model?

Yes. Every exercise in the library, including both sample clips, uses one faceless grey anatomical muscle figure with no clothing, so a library assembled from MoveKit clips looks like one set rather than a mix of styles.
